Toubia is a licensed psychologist with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and the Department of Health Abu Dhabi (DOH). He holds a Masters in Clinical Psychology and Psychopathology from the Saint-Joseph University (USJ) in Lebanon.
With a specialization in Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) certified by the College of Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CCBT) in the United Kingdom, Toubia provides personalized and effective treatment to his clients. He has extensive experience in addressing a wide range of mental health concerns, including Anxiety, Depression, Interpersonal Issues, Personality Disorders, Trauma, Grief, Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and Non-Substance Addictions.
Additionally, he is a certified Schema Therapist (SFT), further enhancing his ability to deliver tailored and effective care for individuals struggling with these challenges.
Toubia's training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy from the Institute of Creative Mindfulness (ICM) enables him to assist individuals who have experienced trauma, anxiety, and related conditions, which are often associated with many of these mental health issues. He approaches his work with a deep understanding and a compassionate mindset, helping his clients heal and recover from these difficulties.
Certified in Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) by the IPT Institute, Toubia focuses on helping clients overcome communication and relationship challenges, supporting them in cultivating healthy and fulfilling connections with others, an essential aspect in addressing interpersonal issues and personality disorders.
Furthermore, his certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) from the Beck Institute allows him to help clients who struggle with sleep difficulties improve their sleep quality, leading to enhanced mental and physical well-being, which can have a significant impact on overall mental health.
Currently, Toubia works full time at the American Center for Psychiatry and Neurology in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
